A Washington, D.C., lady on Monday fled a crash scene and tried to hit an off-duty police officer, who then clung onto her automobile as she drove for a couple of mile on an interstate, police mentioned.
Denai Holly, 25, allegedly hit a number of automobiles on Interstate 270 close to Rockville, Md. and tried to flee, WTOP-FM reported.
Montgomery County Officer Christopher Jordan, who was off-duty on the time, witnessed the wreck and informed Holly he was an officer, authorities mentioned. Holly then accelerated towards the officer, who referred to as authorities when he landed on Holly’s hood, police mentioned.
“This individual, they needed to get out of there. He had … suggested her he was a police officer, and she or he accelerated towards him,” police informed WTOP.
Holly allegedly drove a couple of mile at 80 mph down Interstate 270 earlier than the officer managed to soundly roll off her automobile, in accordance with charging paperwork.
Holly was arrested minutes later and charged with tried manslaughter, two counts of assault and reckless endangerment, the station reported.
It wasn’t instantly clear whether or not she had a lawyer.
