A former inmate, who claims he slipped and tore his rectum within the bathe of a county jail in Oregon, is now suing the county for $905,000.

Within the lawsuit, plaintiff Christopher Troy Depue, 36, alleges negligence on the a part of Multnomah County Detention Middle. He claims workers failed to offer him a shower mat or “any tools to assist him in showering” on Nov. 22, 2016, the submitting says.

Deputies had escorted him to the bathe to clean himself as a result of he arrived on the jail with canine feces on his pants, the lawsuit stated.

The county is accountable for the protection of the showers and well-being of people on the jail, the swimsuit says.

The swimsuit alleges that because of the “unsafe situations,” Depue suffered bodily accidents, together with ache, bruising, tearing, burning sensations, in addition to “worry and embarrassment.”

Jessica Morkert-Shibley, a county spokeswoman, declined to remark, citing the pending litigation, the Oregonian reported.

Depue is looking for $5,000 in financial damages and $900,000 for ache and struggling.

The swimsuit was filed final month in Multnomah County Circuit Court docket.

It was unclear when the inmate was launched from the jail.
